The Scheibbs Autumn Festival, which was celebrated from September 13 to 15, 2013, focused on ancient customs, folk culture, tradition and culinary art.
This year, the festival has been arranged around the theme of "earthily good". Lectures have been held on this topic by Dr. Joachim Schweigl, Geological Office, Lower Austrian Governmental Authorities, and organic farmer Alfred Grand, farmer from the Vermigrand earthworm farm. On September 13, the exposition „Our soil - we stand upon it!" was opened by the Government of Lower Austria, and "Sculptures made of Clay" as well as the exposition of the pottery museum were opened.
Also the children's programme was consistent with this topic. The offer reached from pottery, grinding soapstone, washing gold to forming figures out of clay and potter's clay, and painting with the Colours of the Earth.
At the painting stand, the children created exciting paintings using soil colours and structure materials.
