World Soil Year 2015, the importance of the soil for us

The Bildungshaus Großrußbach has on 11.6. made its own contribution to the World Floor Year 2015.

2015 was proclaimed the International Year of the Soil by the United Nations. Reason enough to focus on the high diversity of Lower Austrian soils in this event. Soils are valuable habitats, components of the water cycle and material cycles, water and carbon reservoirs as well as raw material source and usable area for agriculture and forestry.
Dr. Erwin Szlezak NÖ Agrarbezirksbehörde, Department of Land Development has given a lecture on "our soil in the Danube region".
For this sensitive topic, the elementary school students of the fourth grade of the elementary school Großrußbach have presented their earth color pictures.
