Soil Art joins the youth in the Danube countries!

Within the course of the Danube Countries Youth Conference, implemented on July 4, 2012 by the Lower Austrian youth council and the Working Community of Danube Countries in the parliament hall in St. Poelten, a large number of young people from the Danube region met in the Lower Austrian parliament hall in St. Poelten.
In the morning the young people were presented the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. In the afternoon, three work groups discussed the following topics:

• traffic, multimodal - links the Danube region
• Youth, encounters and cooperation in the Danube region
• Culture & Arts link the Danube region

The Department of Rural Development and the SENEC Association informed about soil conservation activities within the framework of the SONDAR projects. At an information stand, the participants autographed a common painting with soil colours, extracted from soils in the Danube region. The autographed soil colour painting was solemnly handed over to regional minister Mr. Wilfing after the conference.
