European missions in the areas of soil, water, climate, cities and cancer are pursuing ambitious goals until 2030; the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation "Horizon Europe" provides considerable funding for this purpose. In Austria, recommendations for the national implementation of the missions are currently being developed under ministerial leadership.
