Indigenous to the mountainous areas of Central Europe and self-pollinating. A variety with pink blossoms is available at www.eggert-baumschulen.de.There are no known cultivars. Frost resistance: up to -28 °C.



Growth habit and height:

Small shrubs, refined here in form of rowan tree, 1-2 m tall.



Location

Warm, sunny locations, not particular - avoid waterlogging.



Uses

Red berries from August to September. For jam, dried for fruit cake.
