Varieties:

For fruit yield of the Cornelian cherry plant two cultivars: 'Bolestraszycki', 'Svetljaok', 'Neschnyj' - yellow, 'Schönbrunner Gourmet', 'Jolico'. For Bloodtwig dogwood only wild collections. Frost resistant up to -28 °C.



Growth habit and height:

Shrubs. Cornelian cherry up to 10 m, Bloodtwig dogwood up to 3 m.



Location

Sun/semi-shade, grows in various types of soil - avoid waterlogging.



Uses

Cornelian cherry: August - September, fresh consumption, jam.
Bloodtwig dogwood: edible oil from seeds, heat once.
